Professional Profile

A former business owner, Melony Denham has worked in community development for over 30 years. As co-developer of K-12 entrepreneurship curricula, E-Discovery Challenge, she believes helping youth develop their creativity and understand the steps to starting a business has the potential to boost economic development in rural communities. As a Regional Coordinator with EntreEd, she is helping promote entrepreneurship to Every Student, Every Year as schools strive to earn the designation as one of America's Entrepreneurial Schools.

In June 2017, E-Discovery Challenge received state and national awards for Innovation and Creativity from The Community Development Society and The National Association of Community Development Professionals. Read more about E-Discovery here.

Melony Denham is a graduate of the Kentucky Entrepreneurial Coaches Institute. Melony has received the Community Leadership Award from Buffalo Trace Area Development District. Additionally, Maysville Community & Technical College awarded Melony the Distinguished Service to Education Award.
