The Leader In Residence program, brings to the UK campus nationally and world-renowned leaders who are known for their ethical style of decision making and their focus on youth leadership development, democratic principles and community engagement.

The University of Kentucky and the Center for Leadership Development are indebted to the generosity and foresight of the late Mr. W. Norris Duvall, of Todd County, Ky, who invested his resources in the development of future leaders. The W. Norris Duvall Endowment for Youth Leadership, Ethics and Service was established to support programs that assist students in developing a strong sense of and a responsibility toward ethical behavior. It has benefited many young people in developing their leadership knowledge and skills over the past several years. The Duvall Leader in Residence Program is one such program that is funded by this endowment.

“… it is my hope that all, or as many as possible, of tomorrow’s potential leaders, will be exposed to and learn from the character and values of our founding fathers. Their ethics stood for something and were largely what this country was built upon.” -W. Norris Duvall
