Dr. Julie N. Zimmerman was recognized with the top award from the Kentucky Association of State Extension Professionals (KASEP) during their spring meeting as a deserving Extension faculty member who is a member of KASEP and has five or more years of service in the Cooperative Extension Service as an Extension faculty member in Kentucky.

Dr. Zimmerman is a professor in Community and Leadership Development, a Milton Coughenour Professor of Rural Sociology, and Historian for the Rural Sociological Society.  Julie manages Kentucky By The Numbers. 

The Kentucky: By The Numbers program is designed to address challenges associated with the changing landscape of secondary data by enhancing skills in using secondary data for local decision-making.
