Professional Profile
I am a Rural Sociologist by training, and as a Senior Lecturer my priority is my students. I regularly teach CLD 102: Dynamics of Rural Social Life, CLD 380: Globalization, SAG310: Cultural Perspectives on Sustainability, and CLD 305: Research Methods in CLD. I have also taught courses on food systems and the global implications of eating, refugees & immigration, public protests from 1999 to the Arab Spring, and more.
The common theme across all my classes is an emphasis on addressing the social problems students care most about. I enjoy the experience of building a true classroom community.
