Professional Biography

I currently serve as one of the Department’s Directors for Undergraduate Studies, more specifically, the undergraduate students pursuing a degree in agricultural education. My primary responsibilities involve research, teaching, and outreach among diverse populations within the agriculture field.

Born and raised in Kentucky, I have a passion for the Big Blue Nation and working to assist a variety of populations in the Commonwealth to elevate and become expose to populations that are different from their own. My research focus of cultural inclusion and multiculturalism works nicely within agricultural education and agricultural education serves as a wonderful tool to assist underserved populations.

Whether it be a classroom, a boardroom, the tailgate of a pick-up, or a village in Africa, the opportunity to assist underserved populations through agricultural education exists. Because of this, undergraduate and graduate students are finding a plethora of career opportunities and collegial research opportunities are always welcome.
