The Department of Community and Leadership Development Extension has funding available for two county Extension agents or non-faculty specialists or associates to attend a conference to strengthen their efforts and networking related to community and leadership development. This funding includes conference registration, accommodation and travel.

Applicants should choose from these conferences:

• Community Development Society, July 16-19 in Portland, OREGON

• Rural Sociological Society, August 2-6 in Burlington, Vermont

Applicants can also suggest an alternative conference related to community and leadership development that takes place before August 31, 2023. The conference should not be one the applicant regularly attends.

The applicant will also be asked to share their conference experience with the Extension network.
