TRAVEL, SCHEDULES, and LOGISTICS

There are several ways to get from Lexington's Bluegrass Airport to the University of Kentucky Campus.  The total road distance from the airport to the University of Kentucky Campus is about 7.2 miles. The following are links to some of them.

HOUSING and GUEST CHECK-IN

University of Kentucky (UK) The CASE ASP Institute will be held on the UK campus in Lexington, KY.  All participants, regardless of home proximity are encouraged to stay in campus lodging provided. This is important to maintain professional learning communities that are created during the course of the Institute—through group homework projects and other collaborative brainstorming.

Upon arrival, all guests should proceed to the check-in area designated by the group leader/sponsor to complete registration card and pick up any necessary information. Guests will then move to their assigned residence hall to pick up keys and move in.

Woodland Glen IV has classrooms and disability-accessible rooms available throughout the facility. The spacious, suite style bedrooms have a sink in each room, interchangeable furniture, and a full bathroom between each room. A pillow and linens will be provided for the full XL bed.

Guest check-in time typically begins at 1:00 PM on date of arrival and check-out time is 12:00 PM on date of departure. Arrangements for early check-in or later check-out may be made in advance through our office; however, this is subject to space availability.

Groups and guests who checkout late and have not obtained prior approval will be assessed charges for an additional night, per person, at the contracted rate.

Access to UK’s workout facility can be purchased for $20. The Johnson Center offers cardio machines, free weights, rock climbing, basketball courts, tennis courts, a pool, and exercise classes. For more information on the Johnson Center, please visit their website here.

Kick-off meeting will be held on July 9th at 6:30pm ET

After checking into the residence hall or arriving in Lexington, the CASE ASP Kick-off Meeting will be held at the E.S. Goodbarn on UK's campus.  During this session you will meet other attendees, ASP sponsors, and instructors.  Dinner will be served and this will be a time to get your personal computers set up for the sites and files needed for the ASP Institute's curriculum.

MEALS

Participants will be issued meal cards on the day of check-in for evening meal use.  You are allowed up to $25 per day for evening meal purchases.  Breakfast and lunch will be catered each day of the conference.
